MYSTIC PROPHECY Cancels CHICAGO POWERFEST Appearance

March 7, 2007

MYSTIC PROPHECY, the melodic power metal band featuring VALLEY'S EVE vocalist Roberto Dimitri Liapakis, ex-STORMWITCH bassist Martin Albrecht and SACRED STEEL drummer Mathias Straub, has cancelled its previously announced appearance at the Chicago Powerfest 2007, set to take place on Friday, April 20 and Saturday, April 21 at The Pearl Room in Mokena, IL.

Commented the band: "Because of passport and visa issues, unfortunately, we had to cancel shortly our concert at the Chicago Powerfest. These affairs could not be solved within the very short time which has been left for us. We have really tried everything but we could not violate or ignore the existing laws. Therefore we are very disappointed to miss this show. We all hope to perform this festival next year."

MYSTIC PROPHECY's last album, "Savage Souls", was mixed and mastered at Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden and features guest appearances by Chitral "Chity" Somapala (AVALON, FIREWIND) on backing vocals and Marios Iliopoulos (NIGHTRAGE) on lead guitar.
